On Monday 18th February we are having our annual Pupil Progress Review Day. As you will know this is the day when students have an individual appointment time with their tutor to review the progress they have made throughout the school year so far.
The day will run from 9am through to 3.30pm and each student will have their own 15 minute time slot within the day. They will only be required to attend for that appointment and are to spend the rest of the day working from home. We would ask that you discuss their targets with them and give them every assistance in their attempts to achieve them. One way of doing so is attending your child’s scheduled Parents’ Evening in order to discuss their progress and success.
I would ask that you take note of the points below:
- Work will be set for each student by the members of staff who would normally teach them on a Monday so that they do not miss out on any of their studies.
- Students will be required to bring their planners and books with them to school. Full school uniform is also a necessity.
- A selection of year 11 students who are behind with their coursework will be required to spend all of the school day on site catching up with their coursework
- Students who are entitled to free school meals will be given the option of an appointment close to lunch so that they can still have a meal.
- The dining rooms will be open for an extended lunch hour for students to have refreshments
If you would like your child to have a particular time slot then please indicate this on the reply slip below.
I would be grateful if you could complete the reply slip overleaf and return it to your child’s form tutor as soon as possible.
Thank you for your support with this initiative, and if you wish to discuss this any further then please do not hesitate to contact me at school.
